My vet told me and my daughter, "Your dog has cancer of the hind leg.  You have two options: either put her down or amputate the leg." I told him that my daughter and I have the same thoughts on the issue and I let her speak. She said, "Don't take her leg off, I don't want the other dogs making fun of her."
