I"m not rushing into love, 4th grade is hard enough.

Manuel: I think you're supposed to get shot with an arrow or something when you're in love... but the rest of it isn't supposed to be so painful.

When the topic of love came up, one of my fourth grade students commented "Love is like an avalanche where you have to run for your life."

Grandma: When are you going to turn six?

Grandson: When I'm tired of being five.

I was in the kitchen franticallyand unsuccessfully waving a pesky fly away with a white dish towel when my granddaughter said "Maybe it's not working because he thinks you're surrendering."

While shampooing and rinsing my son's hair because he hates to shower,  I commented "You'll need a haircut soon becaause your hair is growing so fast.  He replied indignantly "Maybe if you wouldn't water it so much it wouldn't grow so fast."

When discussing the topic of marriage in school, this little boy said, "People in love hold hands so their rings don't fall off...They paid good money for them."
